I map bike routes around the Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore area for riders of all abilities. Some paths are paved and a few have gravel. I have ridden these trails on my bikes or ebikes.
Art and Bikes! Add some wine, if you want. TVAST or Tri-Valley Artist Studio Tour is happening on May 6th and 7th, ONLY. Pick a town and bike between the studios. Paper maps for drivers are available at most stops but Bike maps are online. Google Maps, Strava, and Garmin will guide you. Download the route to your phone or computer!
70 miles starting at the Bothwell Art Center in Livermore, visiting local artist studios, then riding west to downtown Pleasanton studios, then north, through the Bart Station, to studios in Dublin. From there you bike along the Ironhorse Trail to a studio near Mount Diablo before heading east along scenic back roads to Livermore, visiting a ceramics stud
Bike Tour of Every Artist Studio
Distance: 70 miles on roads with some hills.
More cycling and less stopping with 3 venues and 16 artists. Starting and stopping at The Frame Company, why? Extra parking behind, and next to the Three Sheets Brew Pub and Prima Vini Wine Merchants, as well as tasty restaurants. What more do you need in life?
Dublin/Danville Art Studio Tour
Distance: 27+ miles, Heading north on the Ironhorse but back (downhill) on other roads. Okay for road bikes.
5 stops with almost 30 artists between the two townships. Starting and stopping at the Firehouse Art Center in Pleasanton, with plenty of parking, restaurants, and more.
Dublin/Pleasanton Art Studio Tour
Distance: 15 Miles along GRAVEL bike paths and streets.
Starting and ending at the Bothwell Art Center on 8th Street: Why? That is where I am! Also, the last stop (before the Bothwell) is the Purple Orchid Spa & Resort. An Excellent way to end a long ride. I included Patterson Pass but you can take Vasco the entire way, if you desire.
Bike Map of All Livermore Art Studios and Patterson Pass
Distance: 26+ miles, included Patterson Pass Hill (flat is boring!)
Starting and ending at the Bothwell Art Center, you cycle through residential streets to various Art Studios and return along the Arroyo Mocho trail. Easy, flat, and near downtown where you can stop for lunch, dinner, wine, beer, and more.
Bike Map of SHORT Livermore Art Studios
Distance: 9 Miles starting and ending at the Bothwell Art Center.
Long, mostly flat ride across 11 venues featuring more than 40 artists in the beautiful roads and trails of Livermore and Dublin. Beginning and ending at the Bothwell Art Center, which offers parking, water, restrooms, and more.
Distance: Just shy of 40 miles.
A short, flat, ride through downtown Pleasanton with 4 locations and 13 artists to see. Start and ending is the Firehouse Art Center on Railroad Avenue, there is plenty of parking in the lot behind. I have included the Museum on Main, free to the public and Pleasanton’s little gem of History and Art (and Archaeology!), before heading on to the Rigge Studios (Photographers) and the Roger’s Studio (Glass and more!)
Distance: 4.2 miles with some on gravel.
Download the route to your phone or computer and follow along where I choose to park my bike, set up my easel and spend a few hours painting. These are done throughout the year. Images are on the route and on my website under Forgotten Places.
Biking from Dublin to my studio in Livermore is almost entirely on paths for the 13 miles. Probably less than a mile of my commute is on open road. Check it out and come see me!

Distance: 13 miles from Ironhorse Trail and Amador Valley Road (26 round trip)
We don't drink and drive, so biking down the wonderful Cellar Door in Pleasanton seemed the perfect solution. This awesome wine bar is situated amidst the Art destinations in town: Firehouse Theater (featuring the Harrington Gallery), Museum on Main, Studio Seven and a secret Gallery.

Distance: 6 miles from Ironhorse Trail and Amador Valley Road (12 round trip)
Biking along the Ironhorse is easy-peasy and kids can join in too. This route includes photos of my paintings. Can you spot where I set up my easel?
