Reverse Abstraction

Many Artists will create a representational piece and then remove sections until the remaining art is abstract. To learn to draw, I am suggesting the inverse. Start with an abstract photo... and gradually introduce new information.

Capturing proportions accurately is difficult. This lesson simplifies the problem by tracing a leaf into your sketchbook. Then capture the lines, lights, and darks within the leaf.
